Hoya Kerrii Variegated (Hoya kerrii) is prized for decorative foliage and the potential for clusters of waxy flowers once mature and well established. Common names for this plant group include Hoya, Wax Plant, Porcelain Flower.
Light Needs: Bright, indirect light. Protect from intense afternoon sun; rotate the pot occasionally for balanced growth.
Difficulty Level: Easy to intermediate. Flowering depends on maturity, light, and growing conditions and is not guaranteed.
Pet Safety: Non (non-toxic to cats and dogs; no known toxic principle). Eating plant material may still cause stomach upset, so discourage chewing.
Watering Needs: Let the upper portion of the mix dry between thorough waterings. Avoid leaving roots saturated; thinner-leaved types should not stay completely dry for long.
Soil Preference: Choose a chunky epiphytic mix of fine pine bark, pumice, and a smaller amount of coco coir or peat. Keep the root zone aerated and use a pot with drainage holes.
Hoya Kerrii Variegated adds distinctive botanical character to a thoughtfully placed plant collection. Match its light and watering needs to your space to enjoy its growth and ornamental appeal over time.
